The Hungry Caterpillar

This week Starfish have been using The Hungry Caterpillar book as the focus of their learning. They have used their skills of cutting, sticking and stapling to make Hungry Caterpillar hats, found leaves in outdoor learning to create caterpillar collages and been drawing caterpillars on the interactive whiteboard. They have also been writing about the Hungry Caterpillar using word banks to support them and refining their fine motor skills by cutting out leaves and hole punching holes to make it look like the caterpillar has been munching at them.
