Jellyfish have enjoyed their forest school session today. They created their own Christmas wreaths using the natural resources available to them within the forest school area. Within their free play they had the opportunity to play on the tree swing, learning how to take turns with their friends and to be safe within their play. Some children used branches and twigs to build their own shelters developing their fine and gross motor control.              Starfish have been busy with lots of Christmas activities again this week. They have been building a sleigh for Santa from the large building blocks, writing letters and sending parcels in the Post Office role play and writing toy lists in the writing area. They have also been dusting the frost off the animals, drawing snowmen on the interactive whiteboard and making a class Christmas post box.
     Jellyfishes have been practising different fine motor skills like cutting. 
         In Starfish the children have been exploring the Christmas continuous provision within the classroom. There have been letters to Santa written, exploring one more and one less with the snowman's buttons and decorating the class Christmas tree. Practising their fine motor skills the children created Christmas trees and stars with the playdough and used loose parts to decorate them and they created their own Christmas stories using the puppets in the small world tray.              In Seahorses' gymnastics lesson the children practiced their jumping – straight jumps, tuck jumps, star jumps and using the trampoline to jump as high as they could. |
