Jellyfish have been reading the text 'Naughty Bus' who is a London bus. We looked at photos of London and discussed a range of maps and what we could see on them. We were so inspired, we decided to create our own maps. 

Starfish class have been learning the names of 3D shapes this week. We have also been looking at their properties and investigating whether they roll or don't  roll down a slope.

Turtles have loved using 'The Naughty Bus' as our focus book this week. We painted our own bus for our role play too.  The weather was perfect for water play outside. We found different ways to make ten with two numbers and also made cards. 

Jellyfish had a lovely afternoon in the sunshine, exploring the environment in their forest school session today. 

Starfish class have enjoyed  outside learning in our  forest school sessions. They have learnt lots of new outside games and have been using tools safely to make  swords and bows. The highlight of the session is  drinking hot chocolate with Mr D! 

We have been busy this week with our learning. We have been learning about more and less in maths. We drew emergency vehicles and then used water colour paint to paint them.  We loved building vehicles with the duplo and bricks too. 

Turtles enjoyed visiting the lifeboat station and learning all about our two lifeboats. Before visiting we had emailed them lots of our questions which we were very happy that they managed to answer for us on the day. 

Starfish walked down to the lifeboat station and we were shown around the different boats. We got to sit in the D-Class lifeboat and imagine what it would be like as a crew member at sea rescuing people and we got to look at the huge lifeboat which we learnt is the number 13-09. We also got to dress up as mini crew members in yellow jackets, trousers, boots and helmets. 

Turtles have loved being outside in the forest school area.
