Jellyfish have been painting circles using autumnal colours. They then printed them on to the other side to create an owl face. We then cut out ears and beaks for them.

After learning a lot about hedgehogs Turtles made our own out of clay. This week we have worked hard to strengthen our hand and finger muscles in lots of different ways. Jellyfish class made their own clay hedgehogs in their outdoor learning session this week, using natural resources to create their prickles.
Turtle class visited Rosemoor Gardens to learn more about Autumn. This week the children visited Rosemoor Gardens to further explore the Autumn season and changes it brings. They went on a leaf hunt, made leaf crowns and planted some lettuce seeds to take home. Turtles Class have enjoyed the start to their new topic of 'Crisp and Cool'. They had an engage day to fully immerse them into the topic. During that day they printed with leaves, made and ate vegetable soup and hedgehog rolls, went on an Autumn hunt, made leaf crowns, and after listening to the story of Leaf Man made their own leaf people. Jellyfish had a lovely time on their engage day this week. We read the story of 'Pumpkin Soup' and peeled and chopped our own autumnal vegetables to make our class soup. We also made hedgehog bread by shaping, pinching and snipping the dough. In the afternoon, we then tasted our soup with one of the bread rolls to dunk in it. |
