Seahorses has a lovely day at Northam Burrows. They did some open air art using the pebbles from pebble ridge, a scavenger hunt along the ridge and explore the rockpools for local wildlife. Seahorses have been developing their confidence in the water and practising kicking their legs from one side to the other.
Seahorses have been looking at odd and even numbers this week. They sorted numicon pieces into two piles.
Seahorses did a range of under the sea activities for their engage day and have been lookng closely at rockpools this week. Seahorses have been learning a song called The Tiny Caterpillar on a Leaf. Seahorses have been observing the growth of their plants this week and doing worm dances for their wormery in their outdoor learning. Seahorses had a lovely time at Rosemoor Gardens. The children thought carefully about what a seed needs to grow and acted this out. We explored the grounds, looking for flowers of different colours and collecting petals and leaves from the ground to decorate their own flower. They each carefully planted some blue cornflower seeds and enjoyed a picnic lunch on the green.
