Woodpeckers- Ready, Steady, Cook!

To engage ourselves into the topic for the new term we all went to 'Chef School'. We made chef hats, completed a hygiene course, learnt how to chop playdough using a knife, made a fruit salad and after eating it we discussed the different flavours and textures of the fruits. At the end of the day we were all presented with a certificate to say we'd passed 'Chef School'. 
The other part to our engage days we looked at the artist Arcimboldo and created faces using real vegetables. We then used the vegetables, along with photos, to draw our own fruit and vegetable self portraits.
