Swallows have been investigating and evaluating puppets as part of their topic work. They thought about how the puppets had been put together, the fabrics used, who the puppets were made for and how well they had been made.
In RE this half term we are learning about the events of Holy Week. This week we focused on Maundy Thursday/The Last Supper. Kingfisher class enjoyed their visit to Barnstaple Museum today. We studied old and new toys, and had a tour of the amazing exhibits. Kingfishers have been enjoying our gymnastic sessions on a Friday afternoon. Swans enjoyed looking at and playing with toys from the past. Swallows made smaller and larger paper helicopters, predicted which one would land first and then carried out an investigation to find out.
The children are learning to write instructions. They had lots of messy fun following instructions for how to make slime. |
