Swallows class really enjoyed making ice cream sundaes. They then recorded the ingredients they had used and their step by step instructions.

As part of our invent write Woodpeckers made ice - cream sundaes. We loved designing, making and evaluating our ice - cream sundaes. The eating had to be the best bit though! Now we will write instructions for how someone else can make them just as yummy as the ones we made.
James comes into school each week to teach us new cricket skills. This week Woodpeckers were learning to bowl like a cricketer. Over today’s session we really improved our accuracy at hitting the target.
This week we also loved playing the bamboo tamboo. We were creating our own rhythms . We then performed to each of the other groups . Kingfishers have been enjoying learning how to bake shortbread. We have learnt how to use the equipment safely and to carefully measure ingredients. We especially enjoyed the tasting!
The Swallows had a great time making potions using mud, leaves, water, grass and a sprinkle of magic. They then wrote a set of instructions for how to make their potion.
The children in Swallows had a lovely day at Rosemoor Gardens learning about ‘Fantastic Food.’ They learnt about plants, found different vegetables in the gardens and planted their own lettuce seeds.
Kingfisher Class have been enjoying painting and making poppies. We talked about the importance of remembering those who have fought for their countries and how we use poppies as a symbol of remembrance.
