As part of our topic Discovering Devon, Kingfishers sketched and painted different landscapes from around the county.
Last week, Woodpecker class continued with their excellent start to the year. All the children have settled exceptionally well and are forming new friendships. We have included photos of the children developing their tennis skills and some learning linked to our topic 'Discovering Devon'. Below are a few comments from the children: "Last week, we learned how to be kind to our friends" Graci "We also made friendship tokens to give to our friends" Vesper "In maths, we learned how to compare numbers up to 100" Luka "In handwriting, we have been learning to join our letters" Cleo Swans had lots of fun learning how to strip bark from twigs and how to use natural objects and clay to make dragonflies . Last week, Woodpecker class started their swimming and tennis lessons. We also visited the local High Street to support our writing and 'Discovering Devon' topic. For our engage day we collected resources from the forest school, drew shells and branches, made natural collages and worked as groups to think about what we know about Devon |
