On Friday 11th November, Year Two walked to Ilfracombe Parish Church to take part in the Remembrance Service. In Woodpeckers Class we found out all about World War I and II and why we remember with the symbol of the poppy. In Church, we laid a school poppy wreath and we also sang two songs for remembrance. After the service we visited the war memorial and read some of the names of the soldiers that died. Returning to class we created our own poppy designs using paint.
