Kingfishers Class spent a day at Rosemoor as part of our Wriggle and Crawl topic this term. We learnt about some of the minibeasts that lived in the woodland, then went on a hunt for them, using magnifying jars and insect viewers to help us study them up close. We found centipedes and snails and spiders and beetles, including a beautiful Violet Ground Beetle. Afterwards, we made clay sculptures of a minibeast and made a home for it amongst the trees. We even found time to play games on the lawn after lunch!
