Jellyfish have been painting circles using autumnal colours. They then printed them on to the other side to create an owl face. We then cut out ears and beaks for them. Jellyfish class made their own clay hedgehogs in their outdoor learning session this week, using natural resources to create their prickles.
This week the children visited Rosemoor Gardens to further explore the Autumn season and changes it brings. They went on a leaf hunt, made leaf crowns and planted some lettuce seeds to take home. Jellyfish had a lovely time on their engage day this week. We read the story of 'Pumpkin Soup' and peeled and chopped our own autumnal vegetables to make our class soup. We also made hedgehog bread by shaping, pinching and snipping the dough. In the afternoon, we then tasted our soup with one of the bread rolls to dunk in it. Jellyfish had a fantastic time in our outdoor learning session this week. We jumped in muddy puddles and rolled down muddy hills singing nursery rhymes. Jellyfish enjoyed their swimming session this week. We looked at entering the water safely, travelling across the pool in different ways and exploring the water with toys and floats. Jellyfish have really enjoyed their first few weeks at school. Jellyfish thoroughly enjoyed their trip to Northam Burrows this week. We did a range of open air art using the pebbles from pebble ridge, did a scavenger hunt along the strandline of the ridge and then explored the rockpools for local wildlife. |
