As part of our English sequence of learning, supporting instruction writing, the Elephant Class made fruit kebabs. They enjoyed cutting, preparing and eating them! The children in Lions had great fun learning how to programme a robot. They created 'commands' to send their robot around a map. They also learnt how to solve errors with their 'commands' and 'de-bug' the robot. The children in Lions have enjoyed learning about printing and have made both additive and incisive prints. This week the Elephant Class had a great time exploring Bee-Bots. They learned to programme them and give and follow instructions. The Elephants had a fantastic trip to Exmoor Zoo. We loved seeing the big cats, especially the cheetahs, but we also loved the meerkats. We were lucky to have a talk from the zoo staff about penguins, before meeting one of their beautiful owls. Lions had lots of fun in our Frozen Kingdom room on engage day. The children have all enjoyed creating Christmas cards and treats to share with their families this week. |
