This week in Elephants we enjoyed a play performance of Shipwreck Sam by the Boo to A Goose Theatre Company. Also, in science we have been learning about the four seasons. We crafted our own apple tree books to show how an apple tree changes through the year. This week the children in Lions class worked in small groups to create their own dance routines using basic dance moves we have been learning. Zebras enjoyed making their own windsock today and then used them to check the direction of the wind. The children also discovered they could make their windsock move by running around and creating wind. In gymnastics this week we have practising our travelling skills. Here we are trying out marching! In music, we have been leading our class to try out our own creations of African Drumming rhythms. Elephants enjoyed starting our topic of Africa. We made African beaded collars in the style of a traditional Maasai necklace. We also created African animal print pastel pictures and tried out African dancing!!
