Elephants Class used their knowledge of materials this week to investigate which material was best to make a new sack for Father Christmas. We tested four materials: foil, paper, fabric and plastic, to see if they were strong, opaque and waterproof. Can you guess which material was the best to make the new sack from?
This week in Zebras class we have been getting into the Christmas spirit by making some snowman Christmas cards. The children enjoyed glueing, cutting and drawing their snowman as well as writing the inside of the card.
This week in DT Zebras have been creating their own superhero accessories. Last week they designed their accessory and planned what materials they would use. The children have previously practised their cutting and joining skills in order to help them make their accessory.
The children in Elephants are enjoying developing their cricket skills each week. Lions Class have been practising some Christmas songs today, using instruments to make the twinkly sounds. It was a fantastic time and the children played very enthusiastically! We tried really hard to hear the pulse of the songs and join in on the beat. |
