The children in Lions class had a lovely time singing their Christmas play songs in the church and looking at all the beautifully decorated trees.

The children had a wonderful day learning all about the Hindu festival of light - Diwali. They looked at diva lamps and made them out of clay. They created mehndi patterns on the laptops and made rangoli patterns. In History we have begun learning about Florence Nightingale, also known as 'The Lady with the Lamp'. We have sequenced the main events of her life, and written her thoughts on being a nurse in the Crimea.
On Monday the children enjoyed their engage day. We explored different artists, made and tested shadow puppets and built kaleidoscopes. |
