Goodleigh Woods

Elephants Class had a wonderful trip to Goodleigh Woods this week.   We looked for flowering plants and trees that we could identify.   Sitting under the old beech tree, Mr D told us a tale of how it came to grow in the woods.   We also found an enchanted woodland area among the hazel trees, where we helped to rebuild the fairy village that had been destroyed by a giant! Finally, we enjoyed our lunch back at Goodleigh School and also played in their forest school area.
