Dolphins - Florence Nightingale Day

The children in Dolphins had a fantastic day learning about a real life superhero, Florence Nightingale. The children made nurse and soldier hats and lanterns. They learnt all about Florence's life and the work she did during the Crimean War. They also learnt about germs and how we can minimise the spread of germs just by washing our hands with soap. The children then went into a hospital themed role play room. They had to clean and tidy the hospital to Florence's standards and dress the soldiers wounds with clean bandadges.
