Diwali

During the week the children explored traditions linked to the Hindu festival of light. They investigated authentic Indian resources on the sensory table and used Indian printing blocks in playdough to make patterns. At group time the children talked about the dolls, elephant puppet and dancing sticks. They looked at pictures and books about Diwali. They also used their own experiences to  make pictures of fireworks in chalk outside and in paint on black paper.
