Construction site

The children have been exploring play with construction vehicles. This has involved lots of scooping, digging, and problem solving with vehicles and other resources outside. The children have been listening to the books "Dig, Dig, Digging" and "Digger to the Rescue."
The learning has focused on "making skills" this week and the children have been practising how to use scissors, tape, hole punches, glue, and split pins and have made their own vehicles from recycled materials. They have done really well at being independent with these activities.  They were able to use some of the same skills when making their Mother's Day Cards.
