Woodpeckers had a fantastic day at Skern Lodge learning how to become explorers. We constructed tents, created a bridge out of two pieces of wood and two tyre swings, completed an obstacle course, climbed a climbing wall and more. We love being outdoors! We used clay to make faces and explored the other natural resources using our own ideas and imaginations.
This week in music we began to look at simple notation. We loved using the keyboards, xylophones and glockenspiels.
We have loved all being back together this week. We were so happy to be outside and making mud cakes, exploring floating and sinking, building dens, climbing and all the other fun things we do in outdoor learning time.
We have so much fun developing our gymnastics skills each week with Rob. This week we have developed rolling, jumping, balancing and have used our upper body strength when climbing.
Mrs Newland was very impressed with our improvement since the beginning of the term. In Multi Skills with Rob we had lots of fun developing a range of skills including jumping, throwing and catching.
This week we have each made a chocolate cake to take home for our families. We baked and decorated our own cake and then made and personalised our boxes before wrapping them and writing a special gift tag. We were so excited about it and had a brilliant time. Another fun week learning how to improve our tennis skills with Gary.
