The children enjoyed exploring rockpools to find creatures and a visit to the RNLI station where they learnt about the different lifeboats in Ilfracombe.

We visited the lifeboat station and learnt about the two different rescue boats. We also got to try on some of the uniform that the crew wear. We then went to Wildersmouth Beach where we explored the rock pool habitats for sea creatures and looked at the limpets and barnacles on the rocks. Kingfishers enjoyed a trip to The Holy Trinity Church as part of their RE topic on sacred places. The vicar showed them some of the main features of the church and discussed the importance of this building to Christians. |
