Swans have loved reading the story 'How to Catch Santa'. We have come up with a range of different traps to try and catch Father Christmas, written the questions that we would like to ask him if we catch him and sent him a letter asking him to visit.
Swans have loved learning about why Remembrance Day is important. Watch the slide show. In science this week Swans have been learning about different animals.
Year 1 have been learning about what different animals eat. They all became detectives and discovered whether an animal is a herbivore, carnivore or an omnivore by examining its poo! Year 2 have been learning about different life cycles. We made the life cycle of a butterfly from Plasticine and then made a collage to show the life cycle of a turtle. Swans have loved learning to use the Bamboo Tamboo. We have been copying different beats and creating a simple rhythm in groups.
As part of Swans' engage day for their new topic the children all went to Chef’s School. To become a chef the children had to make a chef’s hat, roll and cut dough, peel and grate carrots and make a delicious fruit kebab!
