Swans have loved learning about the Great Fire of London. We have put the events in order on a timeline, learnt about why it was so hard to put the fire out, made our own houses, wrote a diary inspired by Samuel Pepys and even created London before the fire and now, to see how the city has changed as a result. Some of the children were even inspired to create their own art work at home! Swans have loved looking at books with a moving mechanism. This week we focused on how to make sliders. We designed our Gingerbread Man themed background and learnt how to cut in the middle of a piece of card so that we could make the Gingerbread Man run away!In this version of Little Red Riding Hood Grandma gets locked in a cupboard. Do you think she knows what was happening while she was in there? How do you think she was feeling? Watch the version below to find out! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8kpLdVa7mgk Do you think that the Wolf was trying to eat Little Red Riding Hood? Maybe he was just trying to help her? Watch this video to see the Wolf's version of the story. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=D9C56mFNp60 Swans really enjoyed learning about lots of different fairy tales. They made gingerbread men, sewed their own puppet, made an Indian ink forest and explored a fairy tale land. |
