This week the children were lucky enough to have Clive PiG, an international storyteller come and share silly stories and nursery rhymes with the help of his monkey stick. We were also visited by Sarah Tagholm, a children's author, as part of the Appledore Book Festival. She shared to of her own stories, played 'catues' (cat statues) with us and showed us how to draw our own Brenda the Cat character. We were even provided with our own storybooks to shared at home. 

As part of our art, we have been exploring spirals. We used a range of materials to make spirals inspired by different things, such as hot spirals, bubble spirals, snowy spirals. We then created our own snail spirals using oil pastels. 

The children enjoyed their 'Tell Me a Story' engage day. We made delicious pig face biscuits which we decorated with icing and raisins. We then made and decorated a basket to take the biscuits home in, The children created their own fairytale woodland scene using oil pastels and brushoed the background. We finished the day by making a wolf or pig face using a range of materials and skills.
