This week the children have been using balance scales to compare heavy and light objects and then to find the mass of objects using bricks. They have also been finding the capacity of different containers using cups of water.

The children enjoyed a day at Skern Lodge for our topic ‘Where the Wild Things Are.’ They hunted for ‘wild things’ whilst completing activities such as the assault course, traversing wall, tunnels, spiders web, stepping stones and dry rafting. The children had an amazing day at our "Where the Wild Things Are" adventurous engage day. The children used the outdoor equipment at Skern Lodge to find and follow the characters from the story.  As part of our new "Where the Wild Things Are" topic the children have been creating jungle art inspired by the work of Henri Rousseau. Next week they will complete the pictures by adding collage. |
